About Me

Beyond the ordinary

This is where my journey begins. Get to know what I do, and how I’m committed to quality and great service.

I'm a knife and sheath maker. I either forge my blades or I do stock removal, cutting my blades out of carbon steel. I then grind out the design for my knife. Then I heat treat and temper my blades to be durable and hold an edge. I then cut out my handles out of natural hardwood . Attache them to my blade and shape them. I then design, cut, and hand stitch my sheaths.  These are the knives I present to you.

My shop is set up to ensure quality in my builds.

This is my grinder station where I do stock removal and shape the knife designs.

This is my sanding station where I shape my hardwood handles. Purple Heart, marble, walnut and many more.

Finally my leather station. This is where I design and make my sheaths. Handmade and hand stitched.

As a member of the Flint River Knife Club we set up at certain festivals around the state talking to people about forging and as you can see in the photo, for a small fee we help people of all ages make a knife from a spike or horseshoes half or a small tomahawk that they get to keep. It's a good experience for a child or even an adult to get a chance to see what forging is about. If you wish to attend on of these festivals our schedule will be posted at the bottom of the page.  You can text or email with any questions about the festivals.

I have also gone to an elementary school and given a talk to students about forging and what a blacksmith a blacksmith does.
