What's the most important thing customers should do to make their custom knives last a really long time and stay super sharp?

I use carbon steel in my knives and rust can be an issue. Keep a light coat of oil on the blade (not WD-40). Gun oil or canola oil is fine.

Are there any quick and easy tips or products you recommend for keeping the knives in top shape after use?

 Most oils are ok (No WD-40). remember, you are not lubricating, you are doing moister avoidance.

What are some common mistakes people make when caring for their knives, and how can they easily avoid them?

Do not leave it in the sheath for months on end. Take it out sometime and reoil. Do not leave it on the dash of your car in the summer. the heat is bad for the Epoxy. Remember, this is not a chisel, pry bar or screwdriver. Used properly this blade will last.

How often should I oil my carbon steel knife?

It depends on usage and environmental conditions, but generally, reapply oil after each use or at least once a month, especially if stored for long periods.

Anytime after use and every couple of months if it is being stored for a length of time. Remember, my knives are carbon steel.
